The restaurant "Kovač čarda" is located in the village of Suza in the heart of Baranja, 10 km from the Hungarian border, 10 km from the border with Serbia and 35 km from Osijek.
It is a fish restaurant with a wooden terrace decorated with stuffed fish heads and another room furnished with antiques creating homely atmosphere. It offers Baranja cuisine and particularly, specialities made of freshwater fish.
They are very proud of their highly reputable fish paprikaš (stew made of freshwater fish) and that is the reason why even Hungarians come to the Republic of Croatia. They were awarded by silver kettle on the international competition of preparing fish paprikaš held in Kaloča, Hungary and gold kettle on the competition held in Mohach, Hungary. Arpad Sipec, Junior is a double national junior champion in preparing fish paprikaš.
From time to time tamburitza players play in the restaurant.
