The Reformed Parish in Kotlina

The Reformed Parish in Kotlina is a community following the Gospel and Holy Spirit invited by Jesus Christ. The Parish is a part of the Reformed Christian Calvinist Church in the Republic of Croatia which stands on the essence of the entire Holy Bible and regarding the science and life itself is dedicated to Apostolic, Nicaean, Constantinopolitan, Ephesians, Chalcedonian and Athanasian Creed and particularly Heidelberg catechism and II Helvetian religious belief.
The services are held at 15.30 on Sundays and holidays.

It is not known when the reformed community was really founded, but it was supposed to be at the beginning of the 17th century. What is known is the fact that there was a church in the middle of the village of Kotlina, which was completely destroyed in fire in 1803.
The new church was not built at the same place but on a small elevation where it is located today. The building of the new church began in 1803 and was finished in 1806.
Main works on the church were in 1856, 1882 and 1963.
In 1984 the tower was plastered and the whole building was painted. In 2005 the roof was reconstructed and in 2006 the interior of the church was redone.
Today the community has 74 members.
