Thirteen churches of three different denominations ( five Roman Catholic, six Reformed Protestant and two Orthodox Churches ) is the uniqueness of the Municipality of Kneževi Vinogradi. Only in Kneževi Vinogradi there are three churches, the Roman Catholic, Reformed Protestant and Orthodox Church. The Reformed Protestant Church is the oldest in Kneževi Vinogradi according to the Reformed church chronicle affirming that the tall tower originates from older times than the church itself. The Romans built it as a military watch-tower on their limes ( an ancient Roman frontier fortification ) to control the military road to Osijek. Alongside the tower a medieval church was built which was transformed into the Reformed Protestant church in 1576.
In 1840 the Roman Catholic Parish Church of St. Michael the Archangel (Sv. Mihael Arkanđel) was reconstructed and extended.
The Parish Church in Zmajevac devoted to the Finding of the Holy Cross (Našašće Sv. Križa) was built in 1752.
The morgue is built and functions only in Kneževi Vinogradi. There are 15 cemeteries owned by the Municipality with the total area of 25 ha.
The parish community in Kneževi Vinogradi is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel. Patron saint's day is 29 September. Kneževi Vinogradi is the centre of the parish having church jurisdiction over Karanac, Kamenac, Kotlina, Mirkovac, Jasenovac, Sokolovac, Zlatna Greda (Municipality of Bilje), Grabovac and Mitrovac (Municipality of Čeminac).

The Serbian Orthodox Parish in Kneževi Vinogradi was first mentioned in 1742 when the priest Petar Parabak began to work there. A new church built at the same year was originally dedicated to Saint Archdeacon Stefan (Sv. Arhiđakon Stefan).
Representatives of the County of Baranja reported to the Hungarian Regency Council that they inspected the church in Herceg Suljoš (today Kneževi Vinogradi), measured it and examined the funds of the congregation for a new church.
The Religious Committee of the Hungarian Regency Council suggested to permit the construction of the new church of the same size as the old one using the solid building materials, but without decorations.

The church of St. Donatus who was a bishop and martyr, was built as far back as 1830 and represents one of the monuments of Baranja cultural heritage. The church has two altars: the altar of St Donatus and the altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Since 1917 the church has had the organ located on the choir.

According to the testimony of some oldest worshippers, the chapel was already in function in 1936 or maybe even earlier. In 1947 it was named after Mary's name and since then paitron saint's day has been celebrated on 12 September. At that time in Kotlina used to live about 150 catholic families.
